What do you do when you find your dreamcar?

I found a Pontiac Trans-Am and it's the good year 1978. The car is a project, it's completely disassembled engine and all.
The guy is asking 7500 euro for it. What do you guys think is it worth the money ?
The engine is a 455 with 66 chamber cylinder heads there are a lot of new part included.

That thing looks ready for assembly, a lot, but not all of the hard work is already done.
How much of the parts are included?
Is the drivetrain original?
Is the driverain already rebuilt?
What options does it have from the factory, other than the 455, does it still have the shaker?

I'd have to say without knowing these questions and only looking at pictures it's worth the money as it stands.
Theres a couple reasons for this:
These cars are rare now, not just in your country in the U.S. too.
This one looks like any rust has been dealt with already so you have a great base to start with.
The 455 engined cars had a harder time surviving because lets face it just because you could afford the fastest car around doesnt mean you knew how to drive.
I think it'd be a great purchase.

The only thing I can say is it would be a big adventure. Cool though, does the shaker hood and doors come with it?

By big adventure I mean shipping all the odds and ends over might be a bit hard. Which leads me to my next question. Do you have a workshop?

I think it came with a 400 small block and 350 turbo tranny. Big fan of that combo

That's no problem it's 2 miles from my house
All the parts are there drive train is new. TH400 tranny brandnew, new interior.
But I have to put everything together inlcuding the engine. It's not the original engine the 455 is a Nascar engine in parts

It's not that I don't have the knowledge it's just a lack of time. If I do it, it will take a year or two before it's finished.

455 holy crap! A big block in at TA, good luck holding that straight down the road.
Sounds like it would be fun though
